Foundations of Modern International Politics


Causal mechanisms that relate domestic and inter- national politics as introduced through basic game-theoretic examples. How domestic politics can affect state behavior and how international politics can reverberate on domestic politics. Discussion of various problem areas such as security, economics, and nationalism by focusing on institutions and processes. How globalization and culture affect the structure and institutions that govern domestic and international interactions. No prerequisite, but POLSCI160 recommended. One course.
