How has being a Political Science graduate from Duke helped shape your professional success?

There is no doubt that the Duke political science program gave me the tools in terms of research and writing to succeed in law school and as a prosecutor. However, more importantly, this program gave me the skills to to approach complex issues and problems from multiple angles and to think both creatively and critically.

What advice would you give students in Political Science?

I did not go into Political Science thinking I would be a lawyer. So I would encourage those who are thinking of political science to be open minded. It is a versatile degree that can be used to prepare for and further many different types of careers.
