Theories of War and Peace in Twentieth Century Europe
Identify the ways by which history and political science can be used as complementary approaches to the study of the problem of war and peace among nations. Will review major works from the two disciplines that examine the same problem of how to explain the origins of World War I and World War II in Europe. Will also provide students with an opportunity to undertake and present a significant research project that integrates elements of the two disciplines. One course / 3 units.
