Nature of terrorist organizations and government responses to them. Includes analysis of different aspects of terrorism: historical, social, cultural, economic, political, religious context; determinants of terrorism at state and individual level; organizational structure of terrorist groups' weapons and tactics; mobilization and recruitment within terror networks; terrorist finance; methods of counterterrorism. Details different methods of study of terrorism.
