Examine how the Arab world is embodied in the global or world system of the 21st century. Learn the specific accents that inform its citizens and shape its prospects locally, regionally and internationally. Examine how the major Abrahamic traditions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - had their historical origins in the eastern Mediterranean world, and how they continue to have adherents that populate the region and challenge the modern notion of citizenship.
