Voting Behavior

A research-centered seminar focusing on models of voting behavior. Voting behavior includes individual voting by citizens in democracies but also voting by politicians in a variety of contexts (e.g., national legislatures or the United Nations). Methods employed will range from applied statistics to game theory to more recent innovations in the areas of computational social science and machine learning. Students will produce a journal length article.
