I am a Ph.D. candidate in political science and public policy at Duke University. My research examines the news media, public opinion, and political behavior, with a focus on the United States. I explore the challenges of the contemporary information environment and the mass media’s faltering capacity to provide the public with news information that is central to democratic accountability. To do so, I draw on a wide range of tools, including experimental methods, survey methods, text analysis, and machine learning. My work engages with several scholarly disciplines, including political science, public policy, mass communication, and psychology. I received my B.A. from Wesleyan University.
