Tim McDade is finishing his PhD in Duke University's Political Science department and expects to graduate in May 2022. He specializes in political economy and quantitative methods. His research focuses on how economic markets constrain government policy, especially government debt markets.
Prior to arriving at Duke, Tim constructed the internal analytics for Microsoft Azure China. His undergraduate degrees are in Mathematics (with Honors) and Chinese from the College of William & Mary. Tim speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish; he is skilled in Python, R, and other coding languages and analysis techniques.
Tim is pursuing employment in the private or public sector.
