Studying Political Science at Duke exposed me to a wide array of experiences and perspectives, which allowed me to establish a strong foundation in critical thinking and strategic organizational development. My concentration in International Relations has proven to also be extremely valuable, as it provided insight into foreign governments, currency, and business. These skills are applicable across many industries, and I have found success in applying my learnings to my professional responsibilities as a Manager of global licensed business.
Throughout my studies at Duke, I found that many of the Political Science and Markets & Management professors had unique and robust professional backgrounds prior to teaching. I highly recommend getting to know your professors, and learning about their ‘real world’ experiences. They are an excellent resource for developing your career aspirations and understanding how to apply your education post-graduation.
