The interaction of historical, political, economic, cultural, and legal/ethical factors in how health care systems in high income [OECD] nations are organized and financed and to what end in terms of quality and health outcomes. Major focus on United States, England, and Canada, with select examples from other high income nations including Switzerland, the Netherlands, Japan and Singapore.
