Core in Political Economy (PE)


Survey of techniques and substantive work in the field. Political economy uses the tools of modern economics and game theory to address questions of fundamental importance at the national and international level. Analyze the aggregate impact of trade, policies of redistribution, regulations, and assignment of property rights. Study of the "micro," including incentives and individual choice, and the "macro," representing the conflict of social interests and aggregate consequences of individual choices. Instructor: Staff
